As a Senior .NET Developer at 26 your role will be to play a major part in the technical design, implementation, and support of enterprise level project builds. You will be a dynamic and forward-thinking individual who has had significant experience writing clean, functional code with a sharp eye for defects. A strong team player, excellent communicator and passionate about software design and architecture.

You will provide a level of seniority on client projects across agile delivery teams within a modern technology stack working across multiple CMS platforms, such as Optimizely, Umbraco and Kontent.ai. You will be working in a varied and autonomous role having exposure to project teams who work with blue chip clients, primarily developing in .NET Core.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Provide mentorship to other team members
  • Ensure 26 processes are fit for purpose and always followed
  • Become a trusted and proactive technical authority to our clients
  • Act as a quality gate ensuring high standards of all 26 technical deliverables
  • Work closely with the other developers to ensure the satisfaction of clients and deliver to our contractual obligations
  • Oversee work completed by more junior team members
  • Conduct, prompt and encourage code reviews
  • Review functional and technical specifications ensuring requirements are documented sufficiently
  • Provide task estimations and review estimations of others in the team

 

 

WHAT WE NEED

Knowledge, Technology & Qualifications:  

  • Extensive experience with some gained in a senior capacity
  • Excellent with .Net Core, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Database design and ORM expertise
  • Knowledge of API design best practices
  • Experience with unit testing and TDD
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.JS, React or Angular
  • Familiarity with web servers such as IIS and Azure web apps

 

Skills or Competences

  • Proficient with using version control tools such as GIT and familiar with branching strategies
  • An excellent level of understanding of software design principles
  • Experience using issue tracking software such as JIRA and Azure DevOps
  • Able to work to a deadline unsupervised
  • Experience of working within team coding standards
  • Experience working with practices such as continuous integration and DevOps
  • Knowledge of basic security best practices
  • An understanding of performance best practices
  • Assist junior members of staff
  • Experienced in agile and lean delivery methodologies
