We are looking for .Net Developer to join our growing Tech Team. As a  .NET Developer the primary focus of this role is to provide technical development of projects working across multiple CMS platforms, such as Optimizely, Umbraco and Kontent.ai.

 

Based in our Leeds or Manchester city centre office (hybrid and flexible working) both offices offer inspiring state-of-the­-art working environment and facilities, along with support and focused learning and development opportunities surrounded by a diverse, innovative, and creative bunch who love to share knowledge and skills helping to generate bold ideas that push the possibilities of the digital landscape.

 

We can consider a range of part time hours, it could be shorter days or a four day week. We are open to a discussion and are flexible in our approach.

 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Design and development of web applications using core skills listed below
  • Testing the code you write to ensure it fulfils the requirements
  • Investigate and fix issues in the applications we build
  • Work on tasks with minimal oversight by more senior members of team.
  • Adhere to the practices and principles the team and department have committed to ensure work is carried out efficiently and of the highest quality
  • Research and learn new programming tools and techniques
  • Share knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers
  • Be able to effectively communicate with not only the development team but the rest of the business too about best practices so that there is a common understanding, and everyone believes everyone else is doing what is right for twentysix
  • Ensure all work is tested in line with appropriate functional and/or aesthetic factors (depending on team) before it is presented to other teams.

 

 

What we need

 

  • Proficient with C#, ASP. NET, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience of working with SQL Server
  • An understanding of software design principles
  • Able to work from written specifications to produce appropriate solutions
  • Experience using issue tracking software such as JIRA
  • Able to work to a deadline
  • Experience of working with CMS platforms such as Optimizely, Umbraco or Kontent.ai
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React or Angular
  • Experience of working within team coding standards
  • Experience working with practices such as continuous integration and DevOps
  • Knowledge of basic security best practices
