We have over 150 digital specialists working with us across Leeds and London, and our clients include the likes of Arla, P&G, Fortnum & Mason and Corinthia Hotels, to name a few.

We are looking for a Head of Content Strategy who will be responsible for leading the planning, reviewing, and implementing innovative SEO strategies that will deliver growth to clients through the data driven creative content pillar.

They will also be integral to developing the content strategy function within the SEO department, collaborating with client services, SEO strategists, copywriters, Experience Design, technical teams and external partners and agencies to nurture, improve and develop new ways of working.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Responsible for leading the SEO content strategy for clients across the on page and editorial strands.
  • Hiring, development and line management of the content strategy team, including mentoring, coaching and support of content strategists.
  • Oversee content strategy team’s commercial performance including but not limited to revenue, margins and time utilisation.

 

  • Collaborating with SEO Strategists, Client Services, and content writers to deliver clear and concise content strategies, covering auditing, insights, strategy development down to the briefing and review process.

 

  • Inform strategic vision to accounts to future proof them for a modern search engine as well as social and content marketing discovery.
  • Carry out iterative keyword research to spot new opportunities and highlight areas of growth.
  • Measure and analyse the success of content strategies and present learnings and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Use a variety of proprietary and third-party tools to compile and draw insight from both company-specific, sector-specific and generic industry data, in order to better understand user trends and behaviour and add context to the content performance on each account.
  • Help develop and maintain operational processes, documentation, and support new tools development.
  • Working with data visualisation specialist and Data Science teams to improve, develop and deliver content performance reporting as part of the SEO reporting suite

 

  • Keep pace with the industry and utilize this knowledge for your clients.
  • To support the agency in its delivery of ISO27001, including where applicable additional responsibilities for ISO asset owners (informed separately)

 

 

 

WHAT WE NEED

 

Skills/experience:       Extensive content SEO experience, with some gained in an senior capacity, ideally with some team management experience.

 

Key Attributes:           Ability to demonstrate high performance behaviours including influence, empathy, people development and team building. Ability to analyse and resolve problems quickly and effectively. Ability to select, develop and motivate staff. Able to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, discretion, and maturity in relation to interacting with people at all levels. Ability to deliver true consumer insight at the highest level of planning.

 

Technology:                Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Email and Internet and SEO tools. Fully proficient in Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
