We are looking for a Senior SEO Strategist to be responsible for planning, reviewing, and helping to implement innovative SEO strategies that will help deliver growth to clients across the pillars of SEO.
Collaborating with client services, tech analysts, PR, copywriting, Strategy, UX and creative teams, they will help to formulate a cohesive strategy that will focus on outcomes and surprise and delight our clients.
The emphasis of the Strategy team will be on project management of SEO retainers to deliver against objectives rather than simply spending ‘days’ of work on tasks. An important feature of the role will be to support resource planning as well as support the development of your team

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Responsible for leading the overarching SEO strategy for clients.
- Working with SEO analysts, Campaign Managers, and content writers, deliver clear and concise strategies covering the core elements of technical, content, offsite.
- Measure and analyse the success of SEO strategies and tactics and present learnings and recommendations for future campaigns.
- To support on tool adoption, tool strategy and costs.
- Keep pace with the industry and utilize this knowledge for your clients
- Mentor for other SEO strategists providing knowledge and support
- Help support operational improvements to processes, documentation, and new tools development for the strategist team
- Direct the Data Visualisation Analyst to create an agile team through automation, reporting with the KPI of adoption and utilisation.
- Support your team to be utilised on client work as much as possible (>80% of time).
- Carry out iterative keyword research to spot new opportunities and highlight areas of growth internally and externally.
- Identify opportunities and gaps with clients’ backlink profiles and feed them back into offsite content campaign team to ensure the right results are achieved.
- Provide strategic vision to accounts to future proof them for a modern search engines as well as social and content marketing discovery.
- Produce detailed SEO reports pertaining to your work and the work of your team.
- To use a variety of proprietorial and third party tools to compile and draw insight from both company-specific, sector-specific and generic industry data, in order to better understand user trends and behaviour and add context to the performance on each account.
WHAT WE NEED
Skills/experience: Extensive SEO experience, ideally with some experience within a Senior role
Key Attributes: Ability to demonstrate high performance behaviours including influence, empathy, people development and team building. Ability to analyse and resolve problems quickly and effectively. Ability to select, develop and motivate staff. Able to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, discretion, and maturity in relation to interacting with people at all levels. Ability to deliver true consumer insight at the highest level of planning.
Technology: Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Email and Internet and SEO tools. Fully proficient in Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
