Description

twentysix is a leading digital agency that develops digital platforms and marketing that drives business change and performance. Connected by data, insight and strategy, we specialise in user experience (UX), development and performance marketing.

We have over 150 digital specialists working with us across Leeds and London, and our clients include the likes of Arla, P&G, Fortnum & Mason and Corinthia Hotels, to name a few.

We’re looking for a Senior .Net Developer where the primary focus is to lead the design and development of web applications working across multiple CMS platforms, such as Optimizely, Umbraco and Kentico.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In this role, you will be able to write clean, functional code with a sharp eye for defects. A strong team player, excellent communicator and passionate about software design and architecture.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to other team members
  • Ensure twentysix processes are fit for purpose and followed at all times
  • Become a trusted and proactive technical authority to our clients
  • Act as a quality gate ensuring high standards of all twentysix technical deliverables
  • Work closely with the other developers to ensure the satisfaction of clients  
  • Oversee work completed by more junior team members
  • Conduct, prompt and encourage code reviews
  • Review functional and technical specifications ensuring requirements are

         Documented sufficiently

  • Provide task estimations and review estimations of others in the team

 

WHAT WE NEED

Skills/experience:

  • 6+ years professional experience in a Developer role, ideally some at Senior level
  • Excellent with .Net Core, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Database design and ORM expertise
  • Knowledge of API design best practices
  • Proficient with using version control tools such as GIT and familiar with branching strategies
  • An excellent level of understanding of software design principles
  • Experience with unit testing and TDD
  • Able to work from written specifications to produce appropriate solutions
  • Experience using issue tracking software such as JIRA and Azure DevOps
  • Able to work to a deadline unsupervised
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.JS, React or Angular
  • Experience of working within team coding standards
  • Experience working with practices such as continuous integration and DevOps
  • Knowledge of basic security best practices
  • Familiarity with web servers such as IIS and Azure web apps
  • An understanding of performance best practices
  • Proven ability to effectively lead projects making sound architectural decisions and working with colleagues in development and PMs to deliver on time, on budget projects that meet client requirements

Desirable:

  • Some Headless CMS experience
  • Experience with Azure or AWS
